PA system rental in Copenhagen — what you need to know

If you are planning a party, a company event or a garden party in Copenhagen, you may have come across the term "PA system". But what is it, and when do you actually need one? Here are the answers.

What is a PA system?

PA stands for "public address" — a sound system designed to project audio to an audience. Unlike a Bluetooth speaker, a PA system is built to deliver clear, powerful sound in large rooms and outdoors.

A typical PA system consists of:

Tops (speakers on stands) handling mid-range and treble
A subwoofer taking care of the low end
A mixer, if several sources have to run at once, letting you set levels and connect a microphone, a laptop or a phone
Cables and stands

When do you need one?

A Bluetooth speaker can handle background music for 10-15 people in a living room. As soon as you go beyond that, you start running short of output:

A party with 30+ guests — the music has to carry over conversation
Outdoor events — sound disperses quickly in the open
Events with speeches — you need a microphone
A DJ setup — a DJ needs real output and monitoring

Collection and delivery

We are at Vermlandsgade 66, 2300 Copenhagen. You collect on Friday and return on Monday — so you have it for the whole weekend. We always walk through the setup with you at collection, so you feel confident with it.

If you would rather have it delivered, delivery and setup anywhere in Copenhagen is 495 DKK, or 795 DKK if we collect it again after the party.
