Party lights that make your party ten times better

There is a reason clubs and concerts spend serious money on lighting: light changes the whole mood. The good news is that you do not need a professional light show to make your party markedly better. A couple of well-placed LED lights and a fog machine make an enormous difference.

Why does light matter so much?

Think of the difference between the ceiling light on, and the ceiling light off with a few coloured spots in the corners. Those are two completely different evenings. Light means that:

• The dancefloor becomes inviting — people step onto it far more willingly when the lighting is dimmed and colourful
• The mood changes — from a pleasant gathering to a party
• Photos and video look better — your guests will want to share the evening

What is in our light package?

Our party light package is put together to be easy to set up and to give the most effect:

• LED par lights — colour-changing LED spots that stand on the floor or mount on stands. They cover your dancefloor in coloured light.
• A fog machine — fog catches the beams and creates the classic club feeling. Without fog, light effects are far less visible.
• All cables and remote controls

Placement tips

1. The ceiling light has to go off. This is the most important rule. A bare ceiling light kills any party mood. Turn it off and let the LED spots and a few candles do the rest.

2. Put the LED spots in the corners. Two spots in opposite corners of your dance area gives good coverage. Aim them towards the middle.

3. The fog machine behind the speaker. Place it behind or beside your sound system so the fog drifts out across the dancefloor. Use it in short bursts — too much fog is also too much.

4. Combine it with sound. Light and sound belong together. When the bass lands and the light dances in the fog, you have a party. Combine the light package with a speaker package for the full effect.

When are party lights worth it?

• A birthday in a flat — ceiling off, LED spots on, music up
• A garden party after sunset — outdoor LED spots make a garden look magical
• A company party or team event — lifts the evening from obligatory to actually fun
